Sport Specific 6-9 Clinic for Certificate ONLY*

(*Not offered in conjunction with Theory Course, but is a standalone online clinic for those seeking the Sport Specific certificate and have already completed Theory & Techniques)

The Sports Specific 6-9 course is offered for those coaches who have already taken the course Theory and Techniques of Coaching for 30 hours/2 credits or 45 hours/3 hour credits, but need certification in a specific sport in order to coach or continue to coach that sport. You will need to take the Sports Specific Course when the sport is in season. The reason is that according to the NYSED syllabus for 6-9, you must complete a brief internship of the sport. This is accomplished by making direct observations of the sports and practices in progress. The Sports Specific is offered in the fall, winter, and spring, in order to compliment the various sports in season. The coach has approximately five years, from which he or she begins coaching the sports, to complete the section 6-9 Sports Specific in that sport.

To register for only the Sport Specific Clinic that you need, please register online on our homepage and choose the correct season for your sport.
